Privacy glass—also known as tinted glass—has a subtle black tint that reduces visibility from the outside, giving you more privacy under your veranda or canopy. You still enjoy plenty of daylight and a clear view outward.

Tinted glass also adds a modern, stylish look and helps reduce bright sunlight and glare. While it enhances comfort, it is not a form of sun protection.

At Glaswand Plus, privacy glass is an optional upgrade for our sliding glass walls, allowing you to customize your setup to your preferences.

We understand you may want to prepare your space before installing your glass sliding wall. To make this easier, Glaswand Plus provides the exact underrail measurements so you can check whether your surface is suitable and make any necessary adjustments in advance.

Although all technical specifications are also listed with each product on our website, we’ve clearly outlined them for you below:

Underrail dimensions per rail system:

• 2-rail system: 44 mm wide x 19 mm high

• 3-rail system: 65 mm wide x 19 mm high

• 4-rail system: 86 mm wide x 19 mm high

• 5-rail system: 107 mm wide x 19 mm high

• 6-rail system: 128 mm wide x 19 mm high

• 7-rail system: 149 mm wide x 19 mm high

Important: Ensure the underrail is mounted on a stable, flat surface—such as tile flooring or a foundation sleeve. This prevents tension on the system and ensures smooth, effortless sliding.

At Glaswand Plus, our sliding glass walls come in various working heights. The working height is the total height of the system—from the foundation to the top guide.

For the most accurate measurement, measure the opening at three points: left, center, and right. Always use the smallest measurement to ensure the system fits properly. Any extra space at the top can be filled during installation.

Good to know:

• The glass panels are always 10 cm shorter than the working height to allow space for the rails. You don’t need to account for this—we do it automatically.

• There is a mounting clearance of about 4 cm, giving the system enough adjustability to handle small height differences.

To determine the correct width for your Glaswand Plus sliding wall, measure the opening at three points: top, middle, and bottom. Always use the smallest measurement—walls are often not perfectly straight, and this ensures the sliding wall fits properly.

Yes, our sliding glass walls are designed for easy installation. With the smart EasyFit system, even users with little experience can assemble the sliding walls themselves. We provide a clear step-by-step guide and helpful instruction videos to support you throughout the process.

Our products are designed for easy self-installation, without the need for an installer or handyman. However, if you prefer to outsource the assembly, we can arrange installation through our external technicians. Depending on your project, we can provide a non-obligatory quotation for the additional installation costs, which typically range from €699 to €899.
