Frequently Asked Questions

How Effective Are Draught Strips Against Wind?

Draught strips help significantly reduce wind and drafts between glass panels, especially in light to moderate winds. They neatly seal small gaps between the glass plates, greatly improving comfort in your canopy.

However, in strong winds or storms, some air may still pass through. Glass sliding walls are not completely airtight, and achieving this would compromise the sliding function.

Draught strips are a smart way to increase shelter, but they don’t make the wall entirely windproof. For maximum comfort, combine draught strips with glass collection profiles on the sides to block even more drafts.

What Are the Dimensions of the Foundation Beam?

Our foundation beams (also called foundation sleeves) are specially designed to ensure a stable and level installation of our rail systems. They are available in lengths from 200 cm to 700 cm and are compatible with all rail variants, from 2- to 7-rail systems.

Need help selecting the right size? Let us know which rail system you’re using, and we’ll be happy to advise you!

Can I Use Handles Without Affecting Sliding?

Yes, both standard handles and bowl handles are specially designed to allow smooth and effortless sliding of the glass panels, ensuring comfort and ease of use.

How Do I Install the Draught Strips?

Cut the draught strip 2 mm shorter than the measured height (X). Then attach it using the provided mounting kit or firmly clamp it to the glass profile to ensure a windproof seal.

How Do I Assemble the Takers?

Close the glass wall completely and mark the overlap on the glass profile. Attach the carry-on block at the marked position using screws to secure the wall. Finally, place the end caps on the takers and fasten them firmly for a clean, finished look.

Do I Need a Handle for My Sliding Wall?

A handle is useful for smoothly opening and closing the panels while avoiding fingerprints. However, if you choose a steel-look sliding wall system, a handle may not be necessary, as the panels can also be operated using the steel-look profiles.

Does the Door Handle Damage the Glass?

Yes, you can easily trim the draught strip to the correct length using a sharp pair of scissors or a knife.

Is It Possible to Select Tinted Glass?

Yes, alongside clear glass, we offer tinted glass options to provide extra privacy and reduce sunlight.
